PR Campaign
Moon is a Nintendo DS game developed by Renegade Kid. The game is set entirely on the moon and is based around Major Edward Kane who has been called in to investigate reports of strange energy readings and missing personnel. The gamers role is to aid Major Kane and his men as they head out to uncover the mysteries surrounding the outpost and face off against an unseen enemy.
The Brief
Increase awareness of the game ultimately increasing sales. RSG already had print ads in specialist press & online banners but we needed awareness activity to supplement this…with a very limited database and a small budget.
What we did
Sponge ran a focused digital PR camapign and an 8 week seeding project to reach gamers via WOM on forums and message boards. This FPS was widely reviewed across mainstream and specialist online press and provided great ROI for Rising Star Games.
