PR Campaign
Muramasa: The Demon Blade is a fast and intuitive action combat game, which features two playable characters; Kisuke, a young ninja and Momohime, a princess, both of whom take different paths through the game. There are over 100 swords to collect and level up which improve power, speed and durability and both characters are capable of dramatic special moves.
The Brief
To create buzz and hype amongst the fans and gaming sites online by facilitating online previews/reviews of the game and potential interviews by servicing to relevant blogs and websites in both industry and consumer PR.
What we did
Sponge primarily focused on news and feature stories about the game’s release in the EU followed by reviews of the game over an 8 week period. This encouraged online sites and magazines to spread their love of the game down to consumer level whilst engaging with gaming fans and general public with dialogue about the game.
