JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE:  PR Manager

ROLE

We are looking for a PR Manager to join our team and lead on key accounts, reporting into an Account Director. The role involves handling of key sports accounts, therefore an interest in sports (specifically cycling) is necessary. Candidate must have experience working in PR,  good verbal and written communication skills and be confident with communicating professionally with clients, journalists and senior staff.

DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Meet tight deadlines
  • Create media materials including press releases and pitch documents
  • Compiling and updating media lists across a variety of sectors, primarily sports
  • Communicate coverage with clients
  • Prepare weekly status reports for clients, liaising with other team members to ensure all areas of activity are updated
  • Assist at a variety of events, including press launches and consumer events (this may include some evenings and/or weekends)
  • Input creative and tactical ideas into social media strategies for clients
  • Daily monitoring and implementation of social media marketing campaigns across a variety of platforms
  • Keep up to date with new developments in the digital media arena and advise Account Directors on new avenues of digital communications where necessary

 

REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Previous PR experience essential
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Must have good press contacts, particularly across Sports publications
  • Highly organised and efficient
  • Ability to present written information clearly and logically
  • Accurate – must pay close attention to detail
  • Able to use initiative and be proactive in approaching tasks
  • Able to prioritise work appropriately and juggle a busy workload
  • Good IT skills – proficiency in the use of MS Office is essential
  • Flexible with the ability to adapt to change and respond positively to new challenges

ROLE

We are looking for a graduate to join us and provide key support to the team. The role involves handling of key sports accounts, therefore an interest in sports (specifically cycling) is necessary. Candidate must have good verbal and written communication skills and be confident with communicating professionally with clients, journalists and senior staff.

DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Assist the team with tight deadlines for example preparation, collation and binding of documents for pitches or client projects
  • Create first drafts of media materials including press releases and pitch documents
  • Research, compile and update media lists across a variety of sectors, primarily Sports
  • Conduct desktop research and coordinate assets for pitches and client presentations
  • Coordinate press clippings and coverage for clients
  • Participate in and contribute to creative brainstorming sessions
  • Prepare weekly status reports for clients, liaising with other team members to ensure all areas of activity are updated
  • Undertake any ad hoc administrative duties as requested (e.g. filing, collating documents, photocopying, expense reports, client status reports, website updates, etc.)
  • Assist at a variety of events, including press launches and consumer events (This may include some evenings and/or weekends.)
  • Input creative and tactical ideas into social media strategies for clients
  • Daily monitoring and implementation of social media marketing campaigns across a variety of platforms
  • Keep up to date with new developments in the digital media arena and advise Account Directors on new avenues of digital communications where necessary

  • Previous administration experience desirable
