Nevis Tourism Authority Retains Sponge Marketing For Third Consecutive Year

London-based Agency Charged with Continuing to Raise the Profile of Caribbean Island, Nevis, in the UK

The Nevis Tourism Authority (NTA) has announced that it has retained London-based PR and marketing agency, Sponge Worldwide Ltd. for a third consecutive year, to raise awareness for the Caribbean Island of Nevis, in the UK market.

Sponge is tasked with developing a PR and marketing campaign that will promote the many facets of Nevis to UK holidaymakers, highlighting the year-round allure of this exclusive, yet accessible Caribbean destination.

Following huge growth in UK visitor numbers to Nevis over the past two years, Sponge will be targeting specific communities to drive UK visitors to a wide array of events happening on the island throughout the year. These include the Nevis Blues Festival and the Nevis Mango & Food Festival, as well as world-class sporting events such as the Nevis-St Kitts Open Water Swim, the Nevis Marathon & Running Festival and the Nevis International Triathlon.

“We have made great progress in the UK with the help of Sponge Marketing so far. Our goal is to ensure that the Island of Nevis remains in the forefront of UK holidaymaker’s minds as an attractive and viable Caribbean getaway,” said Greg Phillip, Chief Executive Officer, Nevis Tourism Authority. “We are delighted to renew our contract with Sponge Marketing and are looking forward to continuing to build on our success raising awareness of our beautiful island in 2016.”
